Cateel, Davao Oriental — The municipality of Cateel has been honored as a National Awardee at the 2023 National Anti-Drug Abuse Council (NADAC) Performance Awards. The prestigious recognition was conferred by the Department of the Interior and Local Government, in collaboration with the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs and the Local Government Academy.
The award ceremony took place on November 22, 2023, at Quezon City, where the Municipal Mayor of Cateel, Hon. Emilou C. Nuñez, received the accolade on behalf of the community. The event gathered local government officials, law enforcement representatives, and advocates for a drug-free Philippines.
