The Municipal Development Council MDC of the Municipality of Cateel convened on August 6, 2026, at the CTN Boardroom, Municipal Building, Poblacion, Cateel, Davao Oriental, to deliberate on key development initiatives and investment priorities for the municipality.
The meeting was presided over by Municipal Mayor Hon. Emilou “Miloy” Nuรฑez and facilitated by the Municipal Planning and Development Office MPDO headed by Mr. Anthony Fernandez.
Among the major agenda discussed were the updates on the implementation of Programs, Projects, and Activities PPAs funded under the 20% Municipal Local Government Development Fund MLGDF for Calendar Year 2026, followed by the presentation of the proposed PPAs to be funded under the same fund for Calendar Year 2027.The council also reviewed the proposed 2027 Annual Investment Plan AIP, which outlines the municipality’s priority programs and projects for the coming year. After thorough discussion and deliberation, the MDC approved the 2027 AIP for endorsement to the Sangguniang Bayan.Another significant agenda was the presentation of the Local Public Transport Route Plan LPTRP 2024โ2028, a strategic framework aimed at improving the municipality’s public transportation system. Following the presentation, the council likewise approved the LPTRP 2024โ2028.
The meeting concluded with discussions on other matters concerning the municipality’s continuing development efforts, reaffirming the responsive planning and sustainable progress for the people of Cateel.
