The Local Health Board (LHB) of the Municipality of Cateel convened on August 18, 2026, at the CTN Boardroom, Municipal Mayor’s Office, to discuss key health programs, services, and priorities of the municipality.

The meeting was presided over by Executive Assistant Michael V. Rosalia, representing Hon. Mayor Emilou C. Nuñez, and was facilitated by the Municipal Health Office (MHO) headed by Dr. Ofel Joy Faith Lupogan.

Among the matters discussed were the municipality’s health programs and services, PhilHealth programs and fund utilization, the operationalization of the Municipal Local Health Board, licensing and facility updates, nutrition and environmental health programs, and other stakeholder concerns.

The Board also emphasized strengthening the functionality of the LHB through regular monthly meetings, monitoring of priority health indicators, tracking of agreed actions, policy and resource recommendations, and stronger coordination among the MHO, LGU offices, Sangguniang Bayan, barangays, and partner agencies.

Updates were likewise presented on ongoing health initiatives, including the RHU facility repairs, X-ray operations, nutrition programs, blood donation activities, environmental health and sanitation efforts, and upcoming emergency preparedness trainings.

The meeting reaffirmed the municipalitys continued efforts to strengthen local health services and ensure coordinated delivery of health programs for the people of Cateel.
