The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has officially begun the distribution of UPLIFT assistance to qualified beneficiaries in the Municipality of Cateel, with the three-day payout scheduled from August 10 to 12, 2026 at the Municipal Covered Court, Poblacion, Cateel, Davao Oriental.

The three-day distribution schedule is organized by barangay to ensure an orderly and efficient release of assistance:

The list of beneficiaries  was based on the 2024 Community-based Monitoring System CBMS of the Philippine Statistics Authority PSA. The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office MSWDO of Cateel, headed by Michelle Casangyao, assisted in facilitating the distribution and coordinating with the concerned barangays and beneficiaries.Beneficiaries are advised to follow their respective schedules and coordinate with their barangay officials for the complete list of names and other information regarding the distribution.

The LGU Cateel continues to support programs that bring government assistance closer to qualified residents and ensure that social protection services reach those who need them most.
