The Cateel Municipal Athletic Meet 2026 officially opened on August 14, 2026, at Cateel Vocational High School, bringing together young athletes from schools across the municipality for a competition centered on sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork and excellence.
The opening ceremony was led by Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDS) Melvin B. Rodilla and Josephine Lastrado, together with school leaders, public officials, coaches, trainers and sports officials.
The event was also graced by Sangguniang Bayan Chairperson on Education Hon. Nemesio Magno III and Municipal Sports Coordinator Mark Anthony De Leon.
Athletes competed in various sporting events, demonstrating their skills, determination and competitive spirit as they sought victories and the opportunity to represent Cateel in the 2026 Provincial Athletic Meet.
Organizers highlighted the collective efforts of the participating athletes, coaches, trainers and officials in making the municipal meet possible.
The competition also underscored the commitment of Cateel’s schools and local government to developing young athletes and promoting sports as a venue for discipline, teamwork and excellence.
