The Information and Communications Officers Network (ICON) of the Municipality of Cateel held its first meeting on September 3, 2026, at the CTN Boardroom, Municipal Building, focusing on the institutionalization, functions, and planned activities of the network.

The meeting was presided over by ICON Chairperson Bryan Ephraem E. Miguel, Municipal Information Officer, who introduced the members to the network and discussed its role in strengthening information and communications efforts within the local government.

During the meeting, Miguel informed the representatives that the ICON has now been institutionalized, establishing a more organized network of information and communications officers across the different offices of the Local Government Unit of Cateel.

He also oriented the ICON representatives on their respective functions and responsibilities, as well as the activities and initiatives that will be undertaken by the network.

Each LGU office has designated one representative to the ICON, with the representatives attending the meeting to participate in the orientation and initial discussions on the network’s programs and activities.

The meeting served as an initial step in organizing and strengthening coordination among information and communications representatives of the different LGU offices, as the municipality moves toward a more coordinated approach in the dissemination and management of official information.
